BARNS, BARNS, BARNS!!!

MIKE & KAY GENOVESE

Homeowners Mike & Kay Genovese, who already used our company to paint the exterior of their precious home and detached garage, invited us back last summer to paint their barns.

Built many years ago, it had been a while since the barns had seen any TLC and paint upgrades.

Important to Kay was preserving the Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs and barn stars. As you can see, our team was meticulous in their preservation and restoration.

Preparation and Painting

Long-term quality painting requires preparation.

  1. We softwashed the entire exterior of all the barns.
  2. Replaced failing exterior caulk.
  3. Tons of scraping, brushing, and elimination of failing paint.
  4. Patched areas are facing damage.
  5. Painted 100% of the surfaces we prepped with extreme bonding primer.

Final Results!

The results are in!

Here is what we applied to this building to make it shine:

  1. Walls & Hex Signs – Sherwin-Williams Exterior Acrylic Latex paint – Duration – Satin Finish
  2. Wood Fencing – Sherwin-Williams Oil-Based, Superdeck

Mike and Kay make you feel at home every day. To them, if they trust you to do the work, you become family.

We spent time listening to Kay tell and share the history of the homes, once log cabins, made into a glorious home.

The team relocated toads and other wildlife to keep them safe from paint. Then, the horses visited them daily, entertained them, and soon became equine friends and family too!

With clients like this, every day is a treat. Something to remember and something to cherish.
